Day to Day Workflow

Read specifications and carry out pre-planning of task (Series of task, availability of certified workforce, accessibility of WPS’s, availability of welding, preheating and PWHT equipment including chart recorders and temperature signs, back-purging requirements and plan as relevant, evaluation of welding consumables).
Create & evaluate task risk evaluation.
Develop and assess Manufacture plan/ build techniques consisting of viability of job and ecological conditions (ergonomic and access to weld, wind protection requirements, temperature, rainfall) in order to formalize the optimal usage of yard devices and sources.

Co-ordination of work progress with Task Manager, Owners representatives, Other professions and within the division.
Create/ testimonial workforce request and target report prepared by Supervisor/ Sr.
Foreman Comply with and report job progression. Provide work done reports, summaries and area reports to Invoicers/ Estimators.
Communicate with department preparation section for Productivity dimensions as appropriate.
Maintain Job file up-to-date as routed with all supporting files.
Aggressive participation in determining errors and effective reporting via NCIR system Train, encourage, evaluate and offer responses on training needs to uplift the skill of juniors

Qualification/Experiences & Skills

Diploma in design or equivalent
Extensive knowledge with welding works/ WPS and PQR with at least 8 years of experience as a Supervisor in oil & gas or newbuilding.
Standard understanding of NDE/ NDT strategies.
Thorough understanding in various types of welding and brazing processes.
Basic knowledge of ferrous and non-ferrous products.
Expertise and understanding of stress and anxiety alleviating procedures.
Minimum International Welding Expert (IWS) certificate according to ISO14731 or any other equivalent qualifications or DDW Welding Supervisor internal training.
Aware Of International Welding, Offshore Construction and Shipbuilding Requirements (AWS D1.1, ASME VIII, ASME IX, ISO 15614, ISO 9606, ISO 3834-2, EN 1090, IACS Rec.47, DNVGL-OS-C401, EEMUA 158 …).
Extensive understanding of welding consumables designation systems, estimate, purchasing, consumption follow up, dealing with, usage and control.
Knowledge and understanding of preheating and interpass control keeping track of consisting of various heat therapy procedures.
