Responsibilities
Tasks
- Install domestic, business or industrial plumbing fixtures and systems
- Read blueprints, drawings and specs to decide diagram of plumbing system, water provide community and waste and drainage systems
- Locate and mark positions for pipe connections, passage holes and fixtures in partitions and floors
- Cut opening in partitions and flooring to accommodate pipe and pipe fittings
- Join pipes the use of couplings, clamps, screws, bolts, cement or soldering, brazing and welding equipment
- Test pipes for leaks the use of air and water strain gauges
- Determine piping machine necessities and pipe sizing
- Measure, cut, thread and bend pipes to required structure and size
