Responsibilities
Tasks
- Read blueprints, drawings and specs to decide sketch of plumbing system, water grant community and waste and drainage systems
- Prepare tenders and quotations
- Instruct apprentices
- Locate and mark positions for pipe connections, passage holes and fixtures in partitions and floors
- Cut opening in partitions and flooring to accommodate pipe and pipe fittings
- Join pipes the usage of couplings, clamps, screws, bolts, cement or soldering, brazing and welding equipment
- Schedule personnel, equipment and equipment
- Test pipes for leaks the usage of air and water stress gauges
- Determine piping gadget necessities and pipe sizing
- Estimate prices and materials
- Measure, cut, thread and bend pipes to required form and measurement
