Mechanic

Reporting to the Mobile Mechanical Supervisor, the effective prospect will be in charge of performing a full series of upkeep, repair work and service activities on heavy equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

Check mobile mining tools for proper efficiency and check devices to find faults and breakdown;
Devices removal, installation, alignment, fixing and repair work;
Identify mistakes or breakdowns using electronic and various other testing devices to figure out extent of fixing needed;
Have to have excellent understanding of hydraulic and electric schematics;
Readjust devices and repair service or change malfunctioning components, components or systems, using hand and power devices;
Test repaired equipment for appropriate efficiency and to ensure that work satisfies producers’ specs;
Clean, lube and carry out other routine upkeep work on equipment;
Carry out repair on hefty vehicles;
Attach elements and adjust brand-new tools;
Open up work-orders, find components and complete components list in work-orders utilizing all available sources; and
Various other tasks assigned by the Mobile Mechanical Supervisor as required.

Certifications and Experience:

Ability to diagnose, fix, keep and upgrade mobile mining tools;
Minimum of 5 years mechanical experience in below ground mining procedures;
Preferred prospect will have Ontario or inter-provincial profession certification;
Accredited in U/G typical core components;
Accreditation in specialty components would be an asset;
Strong safety and security focus; and
Self-motivated capacity to function alone.

Schedule: 10 hour shifts with a 5-4-4-4 revolving timetable
