Full-Time Driver-Delta BC
Ups is currently looking for a full-time courier driver (delivery driver) to work on the basis of their BC Delta (anasis Island) and BC Surrey locations.
Job details:
- Position: full-time courier driver (delivery driver)
- Schedule: Monday to Friday*
- Scheduled shift: varies based on operational needs*
- Package center location: 790 Belgrave Road, Delta BC
* Schedules are based on operational requirements. Shift hours may vary slightly and will be subject to change.
On a daily basis, UPS drivers complete pre-trip and post-trip inspections on the car assigned to them. They are also responsible for completing daily delivery and pickup schedules. They should be comfortable using route maps and other trip planning tools and be able to solve transmission problems on the road.
Qualifications:
- Excellent customer service skills;
- Excellent verbal communication skills;
- Ability to follow a set and standardized procedures;
- Must possess a valid BC driver’s license (class 5 or Canadian equivalent);
- You must have a clean driver summary
- Capable of lifting up to 70 lbs (32 kg) occasionally without assistance;
- Comfortable work in a fast-paced, physically demanding delivery environment;

What will you do?
Are you hardworking, quick-learning, super-delivering customer service skills who would like to deliver important parcels? We want you to join our team. We employ delivery drivers in the Ottawa area – although the role can be physically challenging and fast-paced at times-the positive impact you make on our customers will make you feel rewarded every day.
Compensation:
- The wage is$ 21.00 / hour (17 / hour Union rate + 4 / hour bonus)
- 33.79 per hour highest rate
- Paid weekly by direct deposit
- Paid training

Transformations:
- The start time is between 8: 00 AM and 10: 00 am
- The completion time will vary daily depending on the volume expect long days 8-10+ hours on a consistent basis.
- Monday to Friday 5 days a week
- Working hours are not guaranteed and depend on the volume of days.
Location: 2281 Stevenage Drive, Ottawa, Ontario
Employment: permanent full-time job
Qualifications:
- A valid G license or higher, issued in the province of Ontario.
- There are no error-prone accidents or no defect points in the last three years before applying
- No moving tickets or tickets in the last 12 months prior to submission
- The ability to lift up to 70 lbs. (35 kg) without occasional assistance (handcart is available) and 150 lbs. (68 kg) with assistance
- Ability to read and navigate using map books
